I have a monthly plan, and wanted to know how to activate free roaming in france

Make sure data roaming is switched on in the phone setting.

The phone should automatically pick up the strongest network.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

You have 4 options:

Orange, SFR, Bouygues Telecom and Free

The first two usually give me the best results.
