started this evening, noticed around 8pm when someone tried to call me but they received a message 'number not recognised'.
3 other members of the family are with o2 and all seems to be working fine.
I have switch flight mode on/off and also restarted the phone but still the same...switch off WiFi and data seems to be working just fine.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Morning @Jetz, @Martlewphil, @Kirbster, @_James_M_
I'm just checking in, have your issues been resolved or is this still ongoing?
If this has not been resolved and you have an eSIM, please drop me a PM with your mobile number.
Thanks.

I am having the same issue as Jetz. Started yesterday Am can not make or receive phone calls or texts.
Have tried turning off and on again multiple times. Can't report to 02 as can't call them! Have tried resetting network but that hasn't helped.

Story so far...
I contact O2 during the day yesterday, explained it cannot be my device tried on another and the problem persists. There for the sim or the profile. After challenging the call handler for sometime, she suggested I visit the O2 shop for a replacement sim. My time and parking charge I had the same replaced.
I was unable to post anything as for some reason I had to enter a one time code albeit via text and I was not receiving any of these, at least they should offer to be sent to email...duh.
Anyhow, the sim changes were pending and finally the transition complete at something in the evening.
I am now able to make and receive calls and texts.
I did notice the past couple of weeks, numbers including landlines which I know are active, fail occassionaly with "the number being called is not recognised" but will create a new post for that. Not sure if this issue is related but seems to be lingering.

Same issue here and told by 02 will take 5 days to investigate but it’s evident there are faults with others Ian unable to work due to this and there is no support

SO FRUSTRATING. I can't call )2 as I don't have another phone. Have sent report through my network and have tried socials but short of going to a shop and getting a new sim I don't know how to resolve this!

There have been issues on the network. So don't know if replacing the sim fix the issue for me or O2 actually resolving the issue.
Not sure what or why removing and restailling the sim actually does being a techie, there is no obvious logic unless the chip in the sim doing something when the phone is off.

Yup, they come across like admin assistants reading a script rather than 1st level support.

Even if you swap the sim, you will not know if it has worked for sometime, it took about 7 hours for the same to transition for me, but I don't know if that was due to the network issue, but that would still be your best bet and additionally you can get them to call O2.
Good luck.
