Hello I was contacted yesterday on a 0141 number saying they were from O2 and that they could reduce my bill, they knew all of my details like email so I presumed it was legitimate, they advised they would email me to confirm and my O2 app would be updated, but I haven’t received an email to say that and my O2 app hasn’t changed, are you able to check to see if this was a legitimate call

@Rebeccadownie

It sounds like a scam to me. O2 has no number starting with 0141.

First thing to do is change your password asap

Block the number and report it free to 7726.

Hi @Rebeccadownie

Welcome to the o2 Community forum

It is unwise to respond to a cold call

tempting you to give personal or financial information it is good you did not.

We would not be able to check here.

Stay alert to scams and stay safe.

Best wishes
