I have received an unexpected text message from O2 - about an order that I don't recall making. I would like to check what it is.

If it is about an order that starts NC, then chances are you are moving to o2's new customer platform 360.

We have plenty of posts and it appears simply adjustments being made as O2 changes thier billing system and bringing Virgin and O2 into line
