Hi, over the past few days I have been experiancing texts being delay. And when they do come through I get 6, 7 or more that come at the same time but time delayed. Does anyone know why or had the same experiance?

What sort of phone have you got? We have heard of this happening a lot recently

Check your network status here first http://status.o2.co.uk/

Then there is this thread...

If yours is an Android phone have a look at this (from the Android forums)

This effect of delayed incoming texts can be attached to mast status or mast congestion.

Turning the phone off and on to refresh connection between your SIM card and Network can help.

If this is happening regularly even away from your local masts it may be worth visiting an O2 Shop and ask them to move your tariff and number from your sim to a new one called a Sim Swap.

Take some identification to prove your the account holder.

It's been reported a lot over on the giffgaff forum too so I suspect an SMS server issue with O2 somewhere.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
