well just thrown my sony xperia z3 compact in the bin, what a waste, didnt notice the back of it was coming unglued (never been dropped and always kept in protective sleeve) was on holiday and table got splashed, figured its ok as water proof, nope mobile completely dead, on checking mobile the back plate was only half glued together, done a quick search on internet and guess what, quite a few complaints about this model and glue coming apart, so anyone thinking of getting a sony xperia.......dont bother!!

If it was a manufacturing fault, why wouldn't you claim on the warranty?

My son has a Z3 and has never had any of the issues you mention @Anonymous. One of our members @viridis has had many Xperia models...I am sure he or @MI5 can comment further...

Err, why not send to sony who can tell if the glue became loose. I've pulled the back off many Xperia and boy, does it take some doing.
A manufacturer fault like that is covered.

Sony has always been very good service when I've contacted them as I had a few ups and downs with the Z3 got a XZ now and is amazing xx
