not getting emails on new SIM

Hi, I have just upgraded to a new SIM only deal (unlimited calls and texts, 2mg data) and have not been able to get any emails on my iphone under the 3G network. Message says "you're not subscribed to a mobile data service"

 

can you let me know why this is happening and what I need to do to rectify it?

Text the word "active" to 2020. Save the settings that get sent back and reboot the phone.

frustratingly message says I need to contact customer services!  why is it never easy?????

It may be because your core tariff is wrong.
If your apn says "idata.o2.co.uk" change it to "mobile.o2.co.uk" and vice versa.
