no signal

i have spoken online chat to 8 02 tech people including one guru and no one has solved my problem. They told me i had a fault on my sim and sent me  a new one. Still no signal. I get texts come through a day old and I cannot send texts, they take hours to go if at all. The tell me nothing wrong in my area. So I now have a phone that is of no use for many hours each day. It was ok, well not too bad a signal up to about a month ago. Im so frustrated that they cant help. Sue

@suseie chek here http://status.o2.co.uk for any know local issues.

If none show is the phone ok apart from the one location?

@gerry545 o2 have never given updates on mast fix times etc but it can be a simple fix or a nasty job depending on what is wrong who owns the land the mast is on and parts avaiability.

When it is back call o2 and ask if they will offer a good will gesture to compensate you.

know how you feel , we have been with out service in dn9 area for 12 days ..... no one can give an answer as to when we will get a signal back .... all o2 customer services say ..... we know there's an issue and are working on it .... The post office owner told me he has sold out of t mobile and voda phone sim cards ..... He said I sold about 100 .... People are leaving o2 in droves ..... If o2 value there customers then why wont they give some straight answers and say  when it will be fixed ... ,  we have 3 o2 phones in this house 2 on contract and 1 pay as you go , .... We will all be leaving o2 ... There customer service is as bad as talk talk .... WELL DONE O2 FOR NOT LOOKING AFTER YOUR CUSTOMERS

well o2 say they spend 1.5 million a day , and have 200 engineers working for them ....... i thought o2 would think that a mast down by an airport would be of some importance .... but i guess not .... i was told by a customer service manager to buy another phone with another sim card for orange or t mobile and use that, or get in my car and find a signal and make a call that way .

if o2 want to keep there customers and get them to spend their hard earned cash with o2 ,,, i would of thought that o2 would fix the problem rather than taking money for offering no service ....JUST GET THE FEELING THAT O2 FOB OFF THE CUSTOMERS WITH RUBBISH

WELL DONE O2 FOR SUCH GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE

Hi Gerry,

As already mentioned, sorting a mast can be a simple fix or a nasty job depending on what is wrong with it, who owns the land and therefore getting access to the mast, and parts avaiability.

Have you ran your postcode through the status checker?

And are you sure it was a Customer Services Manager that told you to do that? Did you get their name?
