yubbauk, are both contracts under your ex-girlfriends name, or is one in your name? Does payment for your contract come out of your bank account?

Hi no it has allsways been 2 seperate accounts, we had them since before we were together, then we could link them, which you can still do, but you can't unlink them in my o2 🙂

This is something that has been puzzling me too. There remains a link to 'Link/view your O2 accounts' but it just takes you to https://accounts.o2.co.uk/ which doesn't allow any such thing these days.

That page seems to be all about bringing O2 products and services together under one merged o2.co.uk account and getting rid of the other o2.co.uk accounts completely. That is a good idea but it is a different concept to the linking/unlinking of accounts and it also overlooks the history of o2.co.uk accounts. It was never necessary to have O2 products or services to have an o2.co.uk account and they could be created just to have O2 e-mail address, and they could be linked to O2 broadband accounts as secondary e-mail accounts.

For my part I have two basically redundant accounts that were linked to my main account to give me a single point of access. Now I have no way of accessing them at all. It is not a great inconvenience as if there was a 'delete' button I've have destroyed them ages ago. However they may or may not contain personal information which may or may not be correct so I ought to be able to maintain them. If I were using them as secondary e-mail addresses I'd be unable to change the username and passwords on them because I can't unlink them.

We moved to O2 in order to get the family Bolt-on and set up all 5 numbers under 1 admin account. As of early 2013 I had unlinked 2 of the accounts as they needed to manage their own usage. I now want to unlink 2 others but can't. The unlink option has been removed and since Dec-13 I have had 'help' from 4 Gurus, 2 calls with Customer Services and 5 web chats - none of them are able to get the accounts unlinked or escalated to some form of technical support. I have even requested for the account to be closed so that the numbers are released so the I can re-register them, but nothing.

The only option left is to move the numbers to a different provider.

You are indeed correct the unlink account button has been removed.  I have rang customer services numerous times and thye are no use at all they keep you hangin gon for ages then come back and say they aren't sure will look into it and return query. They have never come back to me so I would be very grateful if anyone could help with this.
