hello really hope someone can help me!!!! i want to cancel my contract which ends on the 6th march so my renewal date is 6th feb. i would like a pac code to use with my new contract. so i rang o2 this morning and spoke to 3 separate people who all told me something different! (typical!)
first i was told i would have to give 30 days notice on the 6th feb to cancel my contract. next person told me i couldnt ring until the end of feb to give 30 days notice and the third told me i didnt have to give 30 days notice at all and that i could receive my pac code by ringing up 48 hours before the 6th march!i just want to avoid paying for 2 phones in one month and be able to use my new phone asap after 6th march. pleas ehelp!

If you are switching networks then you will have to pay O2 up until the 6th of March.
Now if you like, you can put in your notice to cancel on the 6th of February and they will cancel 30 days later (6th of March) - so this is the earliest you can request to do so (without incurring termination fees).
The PAC code is valid for 30 days and you can give this to the other network at any point in those 30 days. So say you got a PAC code on 6th of February and gave it to another network and they got your number on the 9th of February. O2 will obviously lose the number on the 9th, but you are still liable to pay up until the 6th of March.
So advisor 1 and 2 have told you the same thing really and the 3rd advisor was telling you how to go about it if you don't want your bills to overlap at all.

30 days notice in February, but if you're staying with O2 you can simply upgrade and there's no need to cancel anything.
