@AnonymousThe only way to get the bar lifted is by making a call to customer services (not live chat)  You will have to borrow a phone or use a landline. The number to call from abroad is in this link https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

On contract the number is

From abroad+44 3448090202

On PAYG the number is

From abroad+44 7860 980 202

@AnonymousThey open in 7 hrs from now... 8am UK time. Between then and 8.30am is the best time to call.

At a push you could try live chat but they aren't particularly good with account based issues. Speaking directly to someone is the best way to go

If this is due to a late payment then there is nothing you can do. The phone won't be reconnected until the payment clears.

This would also apply if outgoing calls were restricted until a payment had been cleared if the issue was because of an unusually large amount in excess of your normal monthly bill. O2 would have requested a lump payment to ensure you could meet your further costs.

All I can suggest is you use Skype to make the calls. It's cheaper over wifi and the other party doesn't need to have Skype as you can call landlines or mobiles if you add credit.

Hi @Anonymous, just wanted to check how you're getting on with this since you last posted, and if everything turned out ok in the end?
