changing number mid way thru your contract

I am an existing customer on pay monthly with o2.
I also do have another number on another network which contract is about to finish.
My question is, would it be possible to replace my existing o2 phone number with my other number if I was to provoide the pac code from another network?
Is changing my number mid way thru my contract possible at all?

Also how do I go about it?
