PAYG Credit Issue

I have a number of phones including a contract mobile with Tesco and and EE PAYG mobile.
I attempted to add £20 to my EE PAYG mobile through ontopup.
I made a big mistake by entering the number of my Tesco contract phone as an O2 PAYG.

I contacted ontopup very soon afterwards but was told that refunds are not available and that the credit can only be added to a O2 PAYG.
I thought that I could load the £20 to a classic O2 PAYG SIM then transfer my EE number to it in due course - this would take months because the EE mobile which is rarely used has £20 credit.
Since the classic O2 PAYG SIM are no longer available, then option does seem to be available.

Has anyone got any helpful suggestions?

Chalk it ip to a lessons learnt and move on unless you can still find an O2 classic sim on Amazon.

There were some on there recently but may have all gone by now @ColinH007

Thanks for the responses.

I may try the Amazon link and will chalk it up as another lesson learned.

I'll definitely avoid a third party such as ontopup in future.
