Thrid attempt.
Had a PAYG sim with credit and activity deactivated with no warning.
How can I a) talk to a human and b) get it it sorted.
I am so angry and disappointed they've done this.

Edit - I am not in the UK now. I just use this sim for my apps like whatsapp etc. I make sure to top it up and make a chargeable call and the last time was £10 and not more than 90 days. Thank you.

Went into an O2 store with sim and puk and showed him it not working.
"We need ID for a Sim replacement"
Me "It's a prepaid unregistered sim, with no details associated with it, I do not want to show ID, why are you asking for ID"
"System wont let us do anything without ID you can try online"
Me "Okay bye"
Online, on instagram of all places (how insecure is that anyway) and no luck.
Asking me stupid stuff like please verifty full name and address etc.
Does no one in O2 understand what a prepaid unregistered sim is???
So I've just asked them on instagram to confirm that if I want my sim and number back I am being forced to register.
Oh my days

That's the chance you take with an unregistered SIM. The store doesn't know you from Adam and they could be giving your number to anybody. They can't take that chance.
Even though you have the old SIM it could be anybody's

So how would me showing ID change anything, if there is no ID attached to the sim now anyway? They could still be giving the number to Adam. Adam with an ID.

Hello @JamieBondie I would call O2 Customer Services on 4445 or 0344 8090222 for PAYG and tell them your problem. To keep your SIM active you need to make a chargeable activity at least once every 6 months. Tell them your SIM has become inactive and they should reactivate it or send you a replacement SIM with everything transfered over.
They shouldn't ask for any id, in fact if you have security questions/password linked to your account they will ask for that instead over the phone which should be enough to satisfy them.
