I wish to get out of the aforementioned early, because of divorce and debts which have come to life.

This no is also being used for emotional blackmail, and harressment also.

I am disabled, and cannot work, so cannot afford and cancellation fee

I would call this an exceptional case

Please help[

Sorry for your problems @digger15 but unfortunately this isn't an exceptional case in the eyes of O2. Many people find themselves with a contract they can no longer afford. If you have a 30 day contract simply give notice. A 12 month contract and you will have to pay off the remaining minimum term I'm afraid.

Are you on a 30 day or 12 month contract.

If 30 day give notice and end it.

If on 12 months you would have to pay the remaining amount if months left minus any insurance or bolt ons.

Tips on how to cancel http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/m-p/566774/high...

Contact o2 Customer Services Link http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus to discuss your options.

202 for contracts customers from your phone.

O2 will just offer you a number change to avoid the harassment calls.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
