Why is 02 so expensive?

I switched to o2 as everyone kept telling me it was cheaper and most of my friends & family are on 02.

But with Orange I got unlimited texts for £7.50 a month

With o2 I only get 300 texts for £10

I'm failing to understand how a 14000% price increase in amount of top up required for same amount of texts I got with Orange is cheaper?

Hi.

What's good for one person may not be for another.

Every network has raised its prices at one time or another.

Did orange give you good stable signal ?

Does O2 ?

Are you on Payg or contract.

Signal was fine on Orange, pretty much the same as 02. 4 bars.

"putting the prices up a bit" doesn't explain a 5 hundred trillion billion % price increase for the same amount of texts though.

£7.50 = unlimited

But with O2

£10 = only 300.

Think I'm gonna bin this phone when I get paid Monday and go back with Orange, I don't see why I should stay with a network where you have to mortgage your house in order to afford a text message.

Are you on payg ?

The price increases have not affected that type of account (yet)

Have you looked at other tariffs and their included allowances.

http://www.o2.co.uk/tariffs/payandgo

If your on payg then your free to move as and when you want.

If your on contract and past the 7 day cooling off period then your now tied in to the contract term.

Just sounds like you're not on the best tariff for you, on Simplicity Pay and Go you get unlimited texts for £7.50/mo http://www.o2.co.uk/tariffs/payandgo

Scroll to the bottom and you'll see it there.

Ashley, I recall you used to have a big problem with CS a while back due to your condition. I presume you have better experiences now with CS? If so, do tell us what happened.

Many of us already have giffgaff sim's.

You could of had one of my sim's with a £5 activation bonus wink

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
