Changing early to a different SIM-only deal

Hi all, was wondering if anybody could help determine if I am able to change contract without incurring a charge.

I took out a 12 month SIM-only deal earlier in the year via Uswitch, and have been really happy with the service so far (much better than Three!). I saw a notice on the MyO2 app this morning that I can switch to an equivalent or more expensive SIM or phone plan without having to pay anything extra. I have a little under 3 months left on my current plan, but have found another 12 month SIM-only deal with O2 on Uswitch (it doesn't seem to be listed on O2's website), priced the same as my current one, but with an extra 8GB of data per month. As I said, I have been really happy with O2 so far, and am happy to commit for a further 12 months. Bearing in mind this increase of 8GB is a Black Friday offer, I'd like to switch to it sooner rather than later.

My question is, am I able to replace my current deal with this one, or would I have to upgrade to a deal provided directly via O2's store? I have tried a few times over the last few days to use the live chat and speak to an assistant, but I only seem to get online at times when the lines are particularly busy.

Thanks for your help!

You can upgrade via uswitch. I do it every year.

The checkout process will confirm if there are any charges.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
