I would like to end this pay monthly and move into different provider. This is becoming expensive, My monthly bill is 3rd of every month.

I would like to know :

I believe I'm already charged for month of May already. I see that Payment due 19 May 2025. So, If I move before that I won't be charged for June I believe.

Guide: Cancelling Your Contract has the info you need, @gnpaddy - and as O2 bill a month in advance, there will be a further bill to settle accounts and refund any amount already paid. Do not cancel your direct debit until at least 5 weeks after you cancel your contract successfully and O2 acknowledge cancellation.

Your access to My O2 will likely also be terminated as soon as cancellation is confirmed.

Good luck!

@gnpaddy Read the guide that @pgn has provided carefully. If you have longer than 30 days to go on your contract you will be charged for the remaining time. Leaving early to find a better deal may not be a way to save you money.

Thanks guys...

It does save money it is monthly contract If I cancel by middle of may I might loose £5 worth as I pay £10 per month. I'm moving to £5 per month deal so, in the end I'm saving. When you are moving you have to see the longer gain than short term loss.. In the end I save 50% of the money ...

What @Bambino was alluding to was the remaining amount owed to O2 if you purchased your handset from O2 on a Refresh tariff over 2 or 3 year deal - O2 will expect settlement of the Device balance before your contract is fully cancelled. This is clearly shown in your MyO2, and can be confirmed by Texting "INFO" to 85075 (free service).

If you are outside of your contracted term, then yes, the saving, after refund, is as you indicate, @gnpaddy
