Hi

like many others, I have been told by Virgin that my previously agreed deal, that included the O2 sim, is going up in price. I have been informed by Virgin that I can cancel the whole package without charge but can see from other posts on this forum that this is not straight forward.

O2, can you please advise how I cancel the sim without charges as is described in the letter I received. This is because, you yourselves have put the price of the sim up twice and Virgin have now given me an opportunity to leave you,

thanks.

@Nerrad67 This is not O2. This is a customer community. You need to speak to customer service. The annual price increase affects all the phone networks, not just O2.
Call 202 from your mobile or 0344 809 0202, 0800 902 0217 or 0800 032 1402
When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say 'Upgrade', 'Lost/Stolen', or 'Fraud' if the suggestion above doesn't get you through.
Best time to call is 8 am.
You can also reach O2 via social media:
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB), Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW), or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

Your not alone.  I have spoken with Virgin Media and O2 with regards to this.  Virgin Media cancelled my account no issue. O2 say they are not aware of any such agreement and their senior managers are not allowing any staff to cancel their accounts without paying the balance on the contact.  Yet is clear in the email: -

What are my options now?
If you’re unhappy with anything in this email, you can cancel your package, including the O2 sim in your Volt bundle, any time before 31/10/2023 without paying any early cancellation fees.
To find out more, call us on 0345 454 1111 from any phone or 150 from your Virgin Media home phone.
Thanks for understanding and continuing to choose Virgin Media.

Talk soon,
The Virgin Media Team

Afraid this happened the first time they did this in March.

Sadly, there is little we can do here as we are all customers and there are no O2 staff

Using Resolver may be an option

Scroll down this page to find out more

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
