VAT Invoice

I am having difficulty pursuading O2 to provide me with a VAT invoice for my monthly bill.

 

VAT is shown on the PDF bill, but no VAT number is shown for O2 and the words "This is not a VAT invoice" is clearly printed on it. 

 

The VAT ammounts are also shown on when I look at the billing section of my online account but again with the disclaimer "This shows the VAT information for your bill. This is not a VAT Invoice."

 

I spent over half an hour on the phone to customer services, who were trying to charge me either £2 or £2.50 per month for providing a printed VAT invoice, which is completely ridiculous (and possibly not legal) - I refused to pay - and they could not explain how I could download a VAT invoice myself.

 

Can anyone offer any advice as to how I can get this sorted out, so I am sent a monthly VAT invoice - either on paper or online, I don't mind - or how do I found the VAT number of the division of O2 that I am paying ?

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

They shouldn't make it so difficult for customers to get basic  info like this. They're happy enough to take our money !

Enlli kindly posted the O2 VAT number but no-one has advised on how to get a VAT invoice from them. Perhaps you could help with that @RafaC ?

Other customers have had to call up and request a VAT invoice @warhol 

You could try using the o2 social media accounts:

I have tried callling customer services but as they tried to charge me for the invoice, I got nowhere.
