Upgrade - poor offer

Long time O2 customer close to end of 24 month contract and offered free upgrade - offer is rubbish, much better elsewhere!!
Found a great O2 deal via USwitch for 24 moths that smashes my offer, from reputable provider I have used before. Will 02 honour free early upgrade as still an 02 contract?

You will need to call them to check. Usually it's a case of paying off your device off in full first.

As you are staying with O2, they may allow it but you will have to call.

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

If you call 202, when it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

You cannot use the early upgrade offer through a 3rd party.

It's only O2 direct.
