I want to upgrade as it says I'm eligible but the deals are shocking. I found. Really good one online from O2 but cant seem to match it when using O2 store. Can I call up and get the deal I saw or do I have to cancel my current contract and take out a new one from the website with the deal??

I assume you are looking at deals from a 3rd party such as Carphone warehouse etc.
You can take a new contract from them and then call O2 customer service to migrate your number to the new contract.
If the deal is already with O2 you can upgrade from your MyO2.
