Unlocking query

On the unlocking page it says you needed to have bought the phone at least12 months ago, what's the rules about payandgo sims,

Could someone confirm can I obtain an O2 payandgo sim Top up it up with £15 and have my phone unlocked by O2 ?
I bought the phone off eBay and i believe the seller originally bought it from care phone warehouse and is locked to either O2 or giffgaff

Also a secondary question , can you still unlock the phone if the person is abroad ?
Can they obtain an O2 payandgo sim top it up with £15 and unlick it using the online unlocking form?

@Anonymous is a member of staff. She is here advising you in a private capacity, as this is a customer to customer forum. She is an O2 employee, and her advice is correct and she is the one you should be listening to.

It comes across to me as the OP isn't likely to accept any advice given on here Yay conflicts with what they are trying to do.

@Anonymous has given you advice in a personal capacity but is o2 staff. Whilst another member has given an opinion (which is valued) everyone else so far has recommended following a staff members advice.
