I tried to reply to a text from a republic of Ireland number today and I'm getting the following message: Can't send message with sim1 - error 8

I last sent a text there in May and had no issues.

Can anyone with this please?

If you have a spend cap it could be preventing you from sending?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm not aware of a spend cap. I thought I just had a standard monthly contract. As I said I sent texts in May with the same phone/contract without any problem.

I'm guessing that something has changed with o2 since I last sent a text as I can't call as well now.

Check your bolt ins in your MyO2 for a spend cap as it sounds like you have one.
You'll need to call o2 to remove it Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
