Trying to cancel my contract. I’m four hours in to being on hold. Is there any other option available for cancellation? Before I was in two minds about switching to Giff Gaff. Now it’s a cert.

Call rang out after four-and-a-half hours. Half a day wasted on an issue that remains unresolved. All chat agents are apparently busy. Surely O2 cannot effectively bar customers from leaving like this.

Sounds like your call got lost in the call queue system, and 4 /12 hours sounds like a call to Virgin Media or British Gas.. and it should have cut you off.

Best way is to either do PAC to 65075 which will generate a PAC code

or you can use STAC to 75075 if you dont want to keep your number.

The give the code to GiffGaff and everything will be cancelled and your final bill issued by o2...
