Sony Xperia Z1 Compact Problem On O2

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello
Just going to try and keep it quick and short well basically I bought a Sony xperia z1 compact simfree so meaning I can use any sim card I want to...
What has happened ever since I updated the software via Sony website it don't accept any of the o2 carriers or itself it won't take Giffgaff...lyca...o2

But for some weird reason it takes three and ee and orange

I've been up and down shops from where I got it from Argos and my local o2 shop no one could help so I finally got upset with the fact it always seems to happen with sony phones I finally sold it and ended up buying a moto 4g
Couldn't b bothered to invest anymore in expensive phones

Well that's about it if anyone knows how to fix it let me know because I sold it to my cousin

Thanks

It's serialised, it does not need a receipt.
It needs a proof of purchase and with argos, they scan serial numbers into stock and as sales
All they have to do is enter the serial number for a proof of purchase history.

I'd have just got my money back from Argos, personally.

Get someone with an O2 contract SIM card to insert theirs in it , make some calls and then they fill out the unlock form.

Strange, but OK...
Anyway, I'd check the service status menu for lock status as it sounds like it's locked to Three....
Type *#*#7378423#*#*
Select Service info
Select SimLock
Look where the X is.
If X is on NETWORK and value is not 0 it is locked.

You don't seem to have much luck with all the phones you buy lifeishard...

I can't understand about Argos online never giving receipts.I always buy online from them and get TWO receipts. One from the email confirmation and the 2nd when my goods arrive?Smiley Surprised

Apologies I'm in and out of signal where I am and am getting fragments.

You could try then the networks it's locked to or try a flea market stall holder or standalone cellphone shop.

@AnonymousDid you not get email confirmation of the order? That would be proof of purchase.
