SIM change

Hi, I've just upgraded from an s8+ to an s20+. My question is will I be able to do a straight chip swap as i want to keep my old number and will my original chip be 5g? My new tariff is working with my original chip. Thanks.

You need a 5G sim to get 5G. Your old sim will probably be 4G.
