I am on a pay monthly tariff covering 72 countries including St Martin (Dutch) where I am located with the tariff offering giving me 25MB data in Europe (incl. st martin). However I have recieved a text from O2 saying I will be charged £7.20 per MB to use this data - will I still be charged?

Sint Maarten is the Dutch Side of the Island is not part of the EU
Saint Martin is the French half and is part of the EU
So it is all dependent on which part of the Island you are in, so yep another Cyprus...
So if you in the South you will be charged at £7.20 per MB and if in the North it should be included, they do have different mobile networks as well
Sint Maarten has two mobile operators (Flow/Chippie (formerly UTS) & TelCell), while Saint Martin has four mobile operators (Dauphin Telecom, Digicel, Flow/Chippie & Orange)
Good Luck, as you will need it ...

St Martin is Caribbean, not in EU.

The page I linked to says not.
The page you linked to says yes, so looks like we need @O2Emma to confirm which one is correct please?

Interesting. I see St Martin included in the list but not Sint Maarten. Is this another Cyprus when it comes to roaming?

More relevant is that O2 gives two different pieces of info for the same country, St Martin, and does not distinguish between the two here https://www.o2.co.uk/international/using-your-phone-abroad
