Hello,

On Friday I received three phone calls from the number 0800 111 6121, claiming to be O2 and telling me that my bill is overdue by £10. I tried ringing the number back and it started asking me for my debit card number, at which point I hung up straight away. I've never received a call from this number before and I don't know if it genuinely is O2, so I'm not giving out my details until I know for sure. Some websites are saying its a scam while some say it really is O2.

Does anyone know?

This has come up before and @Toby confirmed the number was a legitimate o2 number. Please see link above

Possibly can confirm.

You did right to end the call just in case.

The numbers I know are :

Call 2729 from your mobile or ring or 0800 588 4217 from a landline and enter the mobile number you wish to pay.

You can also pay using our automated payment line. Call 0844 8090202 or 202 from your O2 mobile and choose option 1.3

Phonepayplus have nothing and a google search is not
Conclusive.

I'm fairly sure this is a genuine call from O2, they use it as a bill reminder.

I must admit the voice sounded the same as customer services automated voice so I would tend to agree

It's easy enough to log into your "My O2" and see if there is £10 outstanding on your bill.....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

That was the first thing I did after I received those phone calls.... There's nothing on there to say I'm overdue by £10.

Then you should ignore it or call 202 for confirmation.
If O2 are trying to get hold of you it will show a reason why on your account.
