Why are O2's prices for all iPhones and the Sony Z1 higher than buying them direct from Apple or Sony ?

That is a question you would have to put to o2.

We are all customers here.

But if you take a deal else where and it is on o2 network o2 have not lost you as a customer and pushed the onus for warranty etc to the retailer (and the purchase price of handset from manufacturer).

No, its you that's missing the point, entirely.
Buy cheaper from CPW, great, but if you chose to buy on O2 who do you think is getting your money?

Cheaper networks are not always the best tho. But, you are free to chose, no one is forcing you to stay or go, you must choose what's best for you.

It is just the case of finding the deal and coverage that is best for you.

O2 are still adding customers every quater so they must be doing something right around 23 million at the moment and since refresh came out they have added more pay monthly than payg.

If you are unhappy I would write to o2 and say why you are going to leave, but have you actually spoken to o2 retentions to see if any deals can be done.

I agree. Coverage should be the first consideration. No phone is any good to you if you can't get a decent signal where you live and work and spend your time. What good is getting a phone at a cheaper price if you can't use it because of bad network coverage?

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Comparing to other networks o2 is still cheaper over all but as said above by other members, no one is making you choose o2, it's up to you to decide

See here for another reason that benefits O2 direct customers as opposed to buying elsewhere http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/O2-New-4G-Lower-priced-Sim-Only-Tariffs/td-p/585...

O2 have over 23 million customers and are signing up 200,000 a quarter to new contracts.

Whose strategy would you say is right, yours or theirs?

Why do new posters feel they could run the business so much better than it is now?
