Hi

i have not used my pay as you go phone for about 7 months and I no longer have service and my credit has disappeared.

Anyone able to explain how I reinstate my service on pay as you go and get my credit back?

Thanks

After 7 months it should be possible to get the sim reactivated and any lost credit restored.
The key factor is the length of time it's been disconnected.
You will need to call customer service to check http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

Good morning @Anonymous. I have not been a Pay as You Go customer for over 4 years. However, I do seem to remember that if you don't use your phone for 180 days the service is cancelled and any unused credit lost.

I believe that if you wish to use your phone again on Pay as You go you will, I'm afraid, have to start again as a new Pay as You Go customer with a new phone number. As far as I'm aware service cannot be reinstated nor can you get your credit back.

My mum has let her Dorro phono go 'not working'

@MI5 told me to take it to the town's O2 shop for a new sim

there will be a new phone number

this won't be a bother to mum as she has very few people who need the number

hope that helps

Please do let us know how you get on

7 months will be no problem and a simple call will have the phone active the same day with the credit restored after 24 hours. Call rather than use live chat.
