My son is about to enter into an o2 SIM only deal. His current number is on an EE Sim but under a contract which is in my name ( from when he was much younger). We want the new contract to be in his name. I have obtained a PAC code for him. I am wondering if there will be any difficulty in his number being ported from EE to O2 given that’s it’s coming from a contract in my name to a new contract in his name. Or is the new provider just interested in the PAC code rather than the name of the account holder? Thanks

Hi,

I don't know how to create my own post but here goes...

Sent my details with PAC code from EE via the online form on O2's website. First 2 attempts I received an email from "Blue Prism" declaring that security details were incorrect. I guess I made a typo so double checked details and re-sent the form. It has been around 48 hrs and I haven't received any notifications. Should I just sit tight?

I am eager to sort this out as my terribly overpriced EE contract will be billed again early February.

Cheers

@Hanglider4034

Without confirmation from O2 it hasn't been accepted.

You'll need to call customer service to give your PAC in the morning.
Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.
