Overcharged in error

I returned a mobile broadband dongle within 14 days after cancelling the contract .

Was charged a full months after the contract wasn't cancelled by o2 . As o2 returns failed to mark my item as returned , I've since paid the bill in full .
O2 state the over payment will come back as a bill credit on my next bill , they also haven't refunded the £15.99 upfront payment I made at the time I purchased the dongle .
Where do I stand ?

@Jason75 I don't think upfront costs get refunded. 

 

You could complain if you wish

Did you get proof of posting as that will reinforce your claim

You need to chase up the return and refund with customer services as there is nothing we can do to help it along on here unfortunately

Yes they have been shown proof of posting ,they have told me the dongle was received 11/7/17 the day after I posted it back .

Just need to wait for the computer systems to catch up with each other.
