O2 number swap

Good evening
So today I got my new phone so called up o2 to get them to swap the number that came with my new phone over to my normal number. The man on the end of the phone done this and said that my phone will loose service when it is all done etc etc.
So my phone did loose service but my normal number is now out of service and not that one that I wanted changed.
Is there anything I need to do or have they mucked up the numbers on there end?

Transfers are taking much longer than normal

Keep rebooting your phone

Call if necessary
