So as the regulars will know already I'm new to o2 and to the community!
I logged into my account today to check and noticed that the same plan I've recently taken the other day has dropped by £5 a month to save you £120 over the course of the 2 years..... This £5 decrease is in the phone plan section of the deal.
I'm currently paying £30 for the phone and £21 for the airtime rather than the £25 for the phone and £21 now being advertised.
I thought I'd chance my luck and speak to the o2 live chat advisors..... they said they could not do anything to my plan even although they could see it was brand new and could only advise me to return the current device under the cooling off and take out a brand new contract for the exact same plan and phone albeit for £5 p/m cheaper.
I know it's not much but I just thought I'd chance my luck..... but is that really the easiest way to go about it?

Ah well.... time to text everyone my new new number 😛
Couldnt you just return the phone and downgrade to sim only and them process an upgrade? This would have allowed you to keep your number. Would have also saved you for a second credit search.

I didn't even think about that one!
Although in fairness, I'd have lost the £110 cashback I'm getting through topcashback too for getting the deal.
On the plus side I'll still be with o2 and in the community

Another little issue.
I had a £10 credit placed onto the account due to an accessory charge issue. The credit is now unable to be moved over to my new plan..... never thought of this either.

£10 credit transferred to my new account and also the advisor kept reiterating that the o2 open was 30%..... live chat also confirmed this too and also confirmed the price I would be paying - definitely 30% of a difference!

My online account does also say 30% o2 open discount so I'll wait and see what happens.
