New SIM... £9.94 Balance - Too low to get allowance!?

Anonymous

I'm new to O2, and have just activated my P&G SIM. Unfortunately, I'm seeing the following message in my account:

"Your balance was too low to get your monthly allowance. Top up to get your allowance."

I should have £10 of credit, yet my account is showing only £9.94!?

I haven't sent any texts (which I guess would explain the 6p difference), so can anyone explain what's going on? How can I fix this, without having to bump my account up by at least £5?

I'm not sure if it's of any relevance, but I'm using a Nokia Lumia 630 phone.

Thanks

If you speak to online live chat I've known them to return a small amount so you can get your top Up. If it's been an error.

I would also ask if they could tell you where the 6p has gone so you will know for the future as it seems to be a strange amount.

Good luck - I can't see them refusing you 6p in all honesty slight_smile

All sorted. They refunded the 6p, no questions asked. Very painless.

Apparently, some phones (the iPhone was mentioned) send a text when a SIM is activated.
