New Pay as you Go sim

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi, tomorrow I expect to receive a new phone along with a new sim and tariff. I just got an email from o2 telling me my number new. However, is there a way I can keep my current number (o2 pay as you go number) and still receive the new tariff?

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks!

Yes, if you call CS on 4445 thay can transfer all details and credit across to the new SIM or if the same size SIM just put your old one in the new phone.

Thanks. But surely if I just inserted my current sim into the new phone, it would just continue using my old tariff?

Indeed there is when you get your new toys give CS a call and ask them to transfer your number. It can take a while but its normally done quite quickly.

Or you can do it yourself here;

Hope this helps:)

What phone are you getting?

Yes but you can change the tariff too via CS. Choose whichever option is easier for you.

I'm getting a Nokia Lumia 800. So maybe my current sim won't fit it in.

And I'm on PAYG at the minute, and staying on it with the new phone. I couldn't see that option on 'keep your number page' however!

It's sometimes easier to just call CS rather than struggling online.....
