MMS: SERVICE NOT ACTIVATED: GOOGLE NEXUS 4

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi All,

I hope you can help me with this issue.

I have spoken to O2, but get no help what so ever, just excuses and "I don't know" answers.

I have a Google Nexus 4 and I want to send and receive MMS messages. I have tested the phone with Vodafone and Three networks sending/receiving MMS and all works fine... However not so with O2.

I keep getting the message " SERVICE NOT ACTIVATED"

I have checked/re-checked all settings, tried various alternative suggestions but still the same error. I can browse the internet over GPRS and 3G, but not send or receive MMS.

I believe that there is an error on my account, but O2 will not look into it for me. Am I the only person to have bought this wonderful phone, but had the misfortune of dealing with O2 or do others struggle with this issue?

If anyone could shed a little light it would be greatly apperciated.

I have asked them to do that, as per suggestion, but they just say all is fine. They are not being too helpful.

Are they usually this unhelpful with problems?

But I will try again... Thanks

It should be unspecified.

It's defanitly an account issue. Follow mi5s post, only CS can fix this. Ask them to fully remove it, then re add picture messages, it can take up to 24 hours to re activate

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:

Pay monthly CS are really helpful! Can't fault them. I've only ever called pay and go CS 2 or 3 times. You could try visiting a shop and getting them to look into your account
