Local Roaming partner in India

I am travelling to India. Does anyone know which is the roaming partner network for O2 in India. Are receiving text messages free?

Do a Google search to find Indian networks. Maybe think about a local sim if you need data.

Use WhatsApp over a WiFi connection to contact other WhatsApp users for calls, texts or video calls for free.

The roaming partners in India are BNSL and Airtel

And receiving SMS is free, but as has been said using your phone is very expensive in India, with a UK sim.
