Is this a scam? Payment for your latest bill could not be processed

I just got following text. I did not click the link and checked my account a differert way and it is showing as paid so I think this may be a scam
O2: Payment for your latest bill could not be processed by your bank. Please update your payment information via:  O2: Payment for your latest bill could not be processed by your bank. Please update your payment information via....  then it gives a link to click on

It’s a scam and has been reported frequently on here.

Do not open it or click on any links

Forward the scam text to 7726  free of charge

I got the same text but deleted it before I opened my 02 account. I knew my bill had been paid but still wanted to check.
My bill is only £5 mth so if my bank would not honour that they don’t deserve my business. Just watch out folks do not click on link or give anyone your bank/personal info via a link. Make sure you check out everything first.
Lots of scams going around as everyone is vunerable and on edge.

Exactly. Apparently scamming has increased by 400% since the pandemic. Scum.
