Hello!
Just joined 02 last week, on transferring my orange number over I have had no incoming service whatsoever on my mobile, phone calls or texts. So thats five days with half a service. Have called 02 twice a day, and even phoned Orange, and still I am waiting. Have been told Orange are a fault but cannot give me a timescale. Orange tell me its 02's fault. Very frustrating! and feel like I am getting no help. These are my problems:-
I can make calls and send texts.
When I call my own mobile it says the number is incorrect.
When anyone calls me from a landline or mobile it says the number is incorrect.
Strangely enough two people I know on 02 have managed to call me.
The lady from 02 tried the number and it said it was incorrect.
I am paying for a service which I am not getting and have been told it will rectify itself. Its been nearly 5 days! how long does one have to wait!
I have been happy with the customer service so far but my patients is going.

Hi, thanks. I was quite firm with Orange and they were adamant my number was ported corrected. O2 are saying that on and around 2nd and 3rd Orange had a problem which they are working on and I may not be alone. Its frustrating tor be given no timescale. Will have a search on the site, this is my first glance at it tonight so am not sure what I am doing

There does seem to be a problem with Orange number ports and as advised you need to chase them to sort out the porting. It seems to be an Orange network problem rather than O2.

At least they are aware and working to resolve it.

Nine whole days! without an incoming service, what a joke. Does no one from 02 read this site?
My transfer of orange number is still not complete. Over 15 telephone calls, plus 2 to orange with no help whatsoever and have been charged for the calls to add insult.
Apparently an Orange problem which is trying to be resolved. Even did an online chat today with a lady who told me my number had been successfully ported last Tuesday and I could take the communication as confirmation! hello! try ringing the number! is says its incorrect. Have ordered new sim card out of desperation which again tonight has not arrived.
It made me laugh that the end of her email said, we are all here and happy to help you. Nine days and 15 phone calls and a sim card that has not arrived must mean happy to help you.
I WILL BE SHORTLY CANCELLING MY DIRECT DEBIT. I though Orange was bad.

This is a customer based forum. There is no official input from O2 on this site, but several O2 employees make personal contributions to some threads. It has been mentioned several times to you that it appears to be a porting problem on Orange's end. Maybe you should be concentrating on sorting it with them.
If you are on an O2 contract and cancel your direct debit, all you will succeed in doing is getting a bad credit rating. You then won't be able to get a contract with any mobile network, so calm down and hopefully this will get resolved for you soon.
