Connecting To WiFi Hotspots.

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

Does anybody know how I can connect to WiFi Hotspots on my iPhone 5 when I'm out and about?

Also, is connecting to WiFi Hotspots safe?

Thank you,

Liam.

Most wifi hotspots are free but you have to register the first time you connect. Some however you need the password from the owner of the establishment. In general hotspots are ok for browsing and emails, facebook etc but are obviously unsecured so I wouldn't be doing any mobile banking or where personal information is at risk.

If you want security and the hotspot doesn't use wi-fi encryption (WPA or WPA2 with a password) you can use a VPN like HotspotShield.
