I have a pay as you go account. Been trying to top up online for days now all i get is the error 500 page and a picture of a cat holding a stick in its mouth. Tried chatting to online support tried using different browsers different computers all with same error 500 message. I tried calling 4444 to top up over phone and its just says its unable to do this and fails. So far i have been able to top up once at an o2 store with a top up card. I would like to do it online. Can anyone help me here?
I have another older phone on another o2 account but registered to the same address could this be causing me problems?
Any help appreciated

I've been through the same frustrating process several times over the last few weeks and no-one at O2 seems to be able to sort it out. All I ever get told is that "It seems that there's some temporary problem with the credit/debit card Top-Up." This "temporary problem" has been on-going for the last 3 weeks at least, not a good record of customer care or support is it O2?

I am experiencing the same issue as I haven't been able to top up for over a month and after calling customer service and trying multiple times over the phone and online, I still get the same error message. This is not worth the hassle. I'm changing SIM cards and i'm dumping O2. This is the worst mobile customer service I've ever experienced worldwide. What kind of business doesn't want to take money their customers are trying to give them? Insane.

I've been having the exact same problem for the past few days. The only way for me to top up now is to go to an O2 store and that is an expensive trip for me to have to make every single time I need to top up. By the looks of this thread the issue still has no fix?
I feel like your website not allowing customers to pay for their pay as you go phones is kind of a big issue that you've just sort of left alone for months now?

Is it possible to set up auto pay as you go to put an amount into my account today and then immediately cancel it? Then one could simply repeat the process as a slightly more annoying way to top up online.
I'd rather see a fix for this issue than get a "doesn't work, oh well, use this other service instead" kind of answer.

Top up vouchers can be purchased at just about any supermarket or newsagent or top ups can be done at any ATM so no need for an expensive trip to an O2 store just for that......
Totally agree @MI5 Having said that...and as an ex PAYG customer I would find all of these alternatives damn frustrating if honest...
