Hi guys and gals,im able to upgrade but i have a bit of a dilema.I have a loyalty bolt on (£2 off a month) which runs for 2 years. If i upgrade i lose that bolt on.Ive spoken to chat and they said speak to upgrades team,I did and they said nope cant help ya cause its an old promotion..The thing is i would like the bolt on to remain,I phoned yesterday 3 times and it cut off twice due to poor signal and they never bothered to phone back.I actually had to spend another 20 to 30 mins to speak to someone.Ive seen the phone i want on buymobiles.net for £33 and the same tariff on o2 is £37 on refresh.I was happy to go ahead if the bolt on was kept, but there adamant its not happening. The annoying thing is if i go to vodafone im getting the discount no questions asked because who i work for.And i i go through a work scheme on  o2 i get £70 cashback.Truthfully im not bothered about the cashback just would like the bolt on to remain, till it runs out.o2 said they cant even match vodafone on the discount.

Do you work for a company that gets o2 open discount as that could get you 30% discount for airtime on a refresh tariff so that is at least £3.60 a month on cheapest airtime, the phone plan part is not discounted

Why is the £2 month so important?
You have already shown you can save £4 month above or get £70 cashback (your £2 month only gives you £24 over the 12 months remaining) ??
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

It does pay to shop around.

If another network can give you a better deal and their signal is strong and stable then it's a no brainer.

Ask O2 for a PAC code and move.

As said sometimes one of the independents can offer better deals

O2 open unfortunately doesnt cover my company.signal is a mystery where i live, downstairs in the house its rubbish but upstairs its ok.Best about it is the mast is at the bottom of the street.Vodafone is the next best network for reception where i live and its the same in the house. But yeah as you mention it would do no harm to switch over.Specially if im saving money. The only thing is i like refresh. Its easy to swap.Otherwise i could always save up an go sim free.

That's good news. Glad you got sorted. So many times it is simply a matter of who you actually speak to slight_smile
