I want to close my phones airtime account with next year's price increase being announced but I'm confused as I'm seeing posts elsewhere saying if you have a watch you'll need to pay that off if you close the phones airtime account, I was notified it's written in the Ts&C's but the only Ts&C's I have seen mention apple watch only and texting INFO to 85075 only mentions apple watch as well, I have a Samsung watch.

@Paul820

If you don't have an airtime plan with O2 to connect the watch to, you need to pay off the device plan too.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

So the watch has its own number and data allowance, it doesn't appear to be linked to my phone's airtime account? I think I'm probably going to have to ring them up and see as the Ts&C's have no mention of Samsung watches just Apple watches, I think O2 do number sharing the proper way on Apple watches whereas on Samsung watches it's simply a remote connection to the phone, so for Samsung it isn't linked to the phones airtime?

@MI5 Airtime on my phone plan with O2 has now been disconnected, just waiting for the number to port over to my new network and the Watch plan and airtime is still there active on my o2 account as normal.

@MI5

Last bill for phone airtime received a few days ago paid, now just have the phone device plan.

Watch plan and device plan for that is still the same, happy days. Works different for Apple watch.
