Hi Guys,

Just clicked through from the U-switch site for a bargain sim only tariff and clicked on upgrade existing number, however when i get to my basket in My 02 and click place order, it just keeps reloading my basket page and won't proceed any further.

Something i am doing wrong maybe?

No harm in doing it @jasons6930

It will work fine in your phone regardless.

@jasons6930

It sounds as if there is something wrong with the website, unless your order has been declined.

You'll need to call O2.

Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,

Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

8am is the best time to call

Can you try a different browser or clear cache and cookies first?

Thanks both.

I did try calling 202 but i always ended up being steered to the website for more help, although i guess CS are closed now?

I did try diffrent browsers and cleared cookies etc but still no luck.

One of them did text me a code to confirm my identity but once i had done that, it crashed.

It is a Uswitch tarriff click through and it does allow me to go through to the final order page but that's it.

I started to think that O2 didnt want people on this tariff as it is stupidly cheap!

I'm sure it's just a temporary issue @jasons6930

Many have taken the offer already.

Ok quick update.

Just did the order on my iphone and it all went through!!

So, quick question, it looks like i am getting a new sim even though i am keeping my existing number?

Also, it doesnt say anywhere on the order confirming i am keeping my existing number?

Cheers!

@jasons6930

They'll be sending you a 5g sim in case it's needed.

If not, just keep using your old sim.

If you can get 5g, doo a sim swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

Ah ok thanks, that makes sense as i have just bought an Iphone12.

We don't currently have 5G in the area but should i do a swim swap anyway for as and when i do go into a 5G area, or we eventually get it locally?

If it ever does of course!
