New phone needs a nano sim but to keep the number as I am on a monthly contract do I have to go into an o2 store to get a special sim? Or will one of the pay as you go sims from the coop up the road work?

It's pretty rough weather and the last thing I want to do is have to organise a lift into the town 30 minutes away.

Sorry I'm at my wits end, any help appreciated.

@Wits_End

You need to call O2 as any old shop sim won't work for you.

You'll need to call customer service.
Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.

When the sim arrivs, you'll need to do a sim swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Nuts, I was afraid that would be the case.

Was hoping a payg o2 sim from the coop would work.

No sadly it won't pop out,  it's a 6 year old micro sd no pop out option.

Would you recommend using 202 number or

Additional numbers found by customers which may work.

0800 977 7337 ??

@Wits_End

All numbers to try in the link I gave you Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Try any or all of them.

Honestly thanks for your help.

I live in a rural area and was actually pretty excited about finally getting a new phone.

My faliure overlooking the sim.

Anyway thanks again and enjoy your evenings both of you thumbsup
