Number ported but No eSIM delivered

Took out a sim only 12 month contract delivered via eSIM and added the details for number porting.

Today my old number has been disconnected and I have no eSIM delivered so don't even have a temporary number.  Logged into O2 via website and app, no products registered and no option to download eSIM.  Crashes when I click "MyO2"

Online help tells me to call - can't do that as I now don't have a working phone.  Went to store and they can't issue a physical SIM as apparently the number porting is still in progress.

Is this normal?  I transferred from EE to Asda Mobile 12 months ago.  Even Asda transferred seamlessly.

Thanks @MI5 - I was told to do that today.  How do I know the port will be complete tomorrow?  Is there a way to check?

@fuzzbear

Normally, you will get a text to tell you, however, that won't work in your case, so you'll just have to trust in the 24 hour process.

The 24 hours is now 6 days and counting.  Contacted O2 messenger group and raised a formal complaint, but that hasn't helped.
