Is the O2 webchat thing for real?! 
to start with why can’t I cancel my contract on my account and secondly why have a webchat that keeps disconnecting you after hanging around for half hour waiting for a real person?!

I'm very frustrated.

Hi, 

I don’t want any codes, I just want to end contract. I don’t use the sim and never have. Nothing owing on account. When I try to end contract online on my account and go through the steps the page doesn’t change.

surely there’s a way to just cancel my contract on my account? 
I don’t need pac/stac code, just want it ended.

My message disappeared. 
thank you but speaking to o2 is much easier said than done, I tried all avenues to no avail which is why I came here to ask for help. 
is there really no way at all of just cancelling my contract on my online account?

No way online, sorry.

I've known people go in store to cancel but the store still has to call on behalf of the customer.

Potentially one painful workaround @Ffffffffff would be to get a PAYG SIM from another network ; to get a PAC code from O2 by texting PAC to 65075 ; and then to port your number out onto the new SIM. 👍
