Can I add a new device to my device plan?

Anonymous
Not applicable

So I've managed to drop my iPhone 6 into wAyer. It's not working. I've tried all the suggested techniques. I pay £18 a month on the device plan. This runs until August. To pay off the device now and upgrade is £180. I don't have this. Am I able to continue paying £18 a month but add a new device to the contract? I'm thinking no?

thanks

Unfortunately not.
You would need to pay off old contract and start a new one.
How refresh works here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-Pay-and-Go/How-does-O2-Refresh-work/ba-p/1014093
You could check if your home or any bank account insurance covers your phone too?

As said I'm afraid not. You can always put you sim in another phone and use that until you are in a position to upgrade. Maybe you have another old phone or one of your friends do?

If the sim card is damaged, pop into an O2 store and they will replace it free for you and swap everything over.

Thanks both. I was afraid that was the case.

I think maybe trying to get hold of an old iPhone 5 is the best bet. Would my iPhone 6 sim just swap into an iPhone 5? We don't have any old phones in the house so will need to buy one. Is it as simple as swapping the sim over?

thanks.

Yes if you have the phone backed then simply restore the new phone from a previous back up. If the sim is different just go your local O2 store for a replacement.

They are all nano sims so you can just swap it to a 5 or 5s no problem at all.
